O prémio Nobel da Paz foi atribuído no dia 8 de outubro de 2021 a dois jornalistas (Maria Ressa – Filipinas, e Dmitry Muratov – Russia). António Guterres disse na ONU: “Nenhuma sociedade será verdadeiramente livre e justa sem jornalista capazes de investigar o que está mal e trazer essa informação para o conhecimento público, de forma a responsabilizar os dirigentes e a advogar pela verdade.” De notar que estes dois jornalistas reportaram muito a partir de zonas de conflito.
Nada mais correto e oportuno, especialmente em teatros de guerra e conflitos internos, onde a verdade é a primeira vítima e os factos são interpretações dos poderosos.
